A third Annabelle film coming before Conjuring 3. At least Patrick Wilson, Vera Farmiga and Mckenna Grace are in it.

I may check this out, I like how they put the writer in control here....
I haven't seen the first one, but I saw Annabelle Creation in theaters and didn't like it at first but then it got under my skin. It gets a lot of mileage from the isolated location and set-ups, a lot of effective scares and at a certain point it's almost too much, and I was surprised how unforgiving the movie was towards its characters, which you don't see in recent studio horrors so much. It sort of darkly tackles how grief can feel like abandonment, and this vulnerable parental unit really aren't fit to take in orphans (kids who themselves feel abandoned) and how their ramshackle operation cannot quell the horrors already present.

The second one, while poor, is actually quite a bit better than the first one, which is outright bad.

Opens tomorrow."Adventures of Babysitting as a horror film" has been said by a few people already. I know there are fans of that movie on the board, I haven't seen it. I'll probably be seeing this and Chucky at some point, to get my horror fill, and we should be expecting an Annabelle vs Chucky movie by 2022... Jk?? Trades reviews are all over the place, here are a few grabs... IndiewireHollywood ReporterVariety
