Yeah...so why is this a thing again? If you don't care, fine. But people don't need to be taken to task if that's what they are interested in discusing.
Projects of this nature with these names involved will always attract Oscar talk. It's the nature of the beast.
If people are attracted to talking about how many Americans are involved, well then it'll become a thing if you bring it up and enough people care.

It's a "thing" because I was replying to Leo The Last who referenced me? I was responding to him then you ............responded to me several times so I restated it since you asked me? No harm, no foul, all good.

1) That dessert looks tasty. 2) I need to get myself a burgundy suit...people always look fantastic in burgundy suits. 3) I assume that's a queue to kiss Denzel and Spike is practicing at the end of it. 4) You have some serious cleavage clocking going on at right middle of the bottom picture. 5) Congratulation to Mr. Washington, he's a fine choice for this award.

Just from that top picture, I can already tell they're going to have dynamite chemistry.

Shooting is announced to start Feburary 10th, 2020.
discussingfilm.net/2019/10/02/a24s-macbeth-eyeing-to-begin-filming-in-early-february-exclusive/Should be ready for next awards season. I do wonder if Warner Brothers are maybe seeing Little Things as an awards play ( Three Oscar winners suggests it's a possibility) then they might consider frauding Denzel as a Supporting Actor (which is all the rage these days) , so he doesn't compete against himself for a lead nod in Macbeth. Rami Malek is a big enough name to sell as the " lead", if his screen time is similar to Denzel's.

MacBeth again!!!
Any way, none will surpass the Oscar Welles adaptation that was a box office bomb in their time.-
All the MacBeth is box office poison. I don't know why they are still making it.-

You both misspelled Akira Kurosawa but that’s okay. Mistakes happen.

Rami Malek is a big enough name to sell as the " lead", if his screen time is similar to Denzel's. I don't know but Little Things just doesn't strike me as Oscar baity... It's John Lee Hancock's passion project (he's been trying to make it for over 20 years), and it once had Danny Devito attached to direct Robert DeNiro around 1997 (both tended to go for fairly ambitious and meaty projects around that time) and George Clooney and Clint Eastwood were also interested in it at one point, and they tend to be attracted to baity dramatic material. At the end of the day, casting three Oscar winners in Denzel, Rami Malek and Jared Leto tells it's own story. None of these guys come cheap. And if they just wanted to make another commercial thriller, they don't need to fork out the money for Leto and Malek. Denzel on his own is more than enough to carry a thriller to good box office (ie The Equalizer movies). You could cast any decent actors (without Oscars and clout) in those roles, and the film probably still makes money with Denzel alone. Signs point to them wanting Leto and Malek for the prestige factor. Again, we won't know for certain if it's gonna be an awards play till we start seeing it, but very well could be considering the history of the project and the prestige factor of the main cast.

Oh... El Camino! Aren't you the one delivering blow by blow casting updates on the " Denzel Cop film"? You got them shits on Google altert! None of the actual Denzel fans here are dying to let everyone know that Natalie Morales or Matthew Glave have joined the cast, but it sure seems like fascinating news to you to deliver personally. Again with the Glass Houses! You seem awfully interested in Little Things for some reason.

Yeah...the reviews for Ethan's play were pretty damned rough. Bit risky for him to seperate from Joel under these circumstances as well, because if Macbeth turns out well, there will be some muttering that Joel has been carrying Ethan all these years in the partnership.

Eh, I won't buy into that, but I was thinking about how great A Serious Man was the other day, and I hope to see them unite to bring us something else that daring and interesting.

I'm just now seeing this. Why no Ethan? He gave an interview at the Rome Film Festival, and apparently it's because he's working on plays as has been speculated.

Bit risky for him to seperate from Joel under these circumstances as well, because if Macbeth turns out well, there will be some muttering that Joel has been carrying Ethan all these years in the partnership. That's funny, because having read Ethan Coen's excellent collection of short stories ( Gates of Eden) and a number of his plays, for years I've always took it that Ethan was more the genius writer and Joel the genius director. His narratives and dialogue are pretty much exactly like they are in their films, only maybe a tad more opaque (I'd say A Serious Man is the closest in tone, which is my favorite of their work). I think without Ethan the movies wouldn't have that voice, which is why I see this new Macbeth as probably having little to do with the quirkiness and eccentricities of the previous movies and more of a straightforward adaptation that exclusively uses the text, which is why I think Ethan isn't involved. I think this might be Frances McDormand's passion project, so naturally Joel would want to helm it.
