It's a toss up between '94 and '99 for me. The latter is generally considered the best year ever and probably has more quantity of good films, but '94 had a big handful of favorites.

I would have to go with 1993 because it was serving up some of that intense drama that I love so much. Not only Schindler's List, but films like The Piano, Remains of the Day, and In the Name of the Father, etc. It also had True Romance, The Fugitive, Falling Down, Menace II Society, What's Eating Gilbert Grape?, and Groundhog Day. If I were forced to watch all the movies from one year of the 1990s, I would go with 93'. And then maybe 96.
