How bout Affleck in The Old Man & the Gun? I assume supporting but I can’t really remember how much focus/screentime he got. Supporting for me. He's in charge of the investigation and we do see some of his home life, but his story entirely revolves around Redford.

I'll list the ones from what I've seen, and add some reasoning to some.
LEAD Jeff Bridges, Bad Times at the El Royale Cynthia Erivo, Bad Times at the El Royale: even though it feels an ensemble piece, Erivo and Bridges are guiding the emotional arc from beginning to end. They're the ones that make it out alive, while the other players are just people they find on their way out. Lucas Hedges, Ben Is Back Joanna Kulig, Cold War Mia Wasikowska, Damsel: she shows up after everybody, but it is her progression we watch. Emma Stone, The Favourite: there are many ways to read this movie, and all of them are valid to me. Still, I see Stone as the sole lead because her arrival is what chances everything in the setup, and it's her rise-downfall arc that moves the plot. If we compare this to a rom-com, Stone is the main heroine, Colman is her love interest and Weisz is her foe - the other players revolve around her 'cause she's the force behind the plot. Alex Wolff, Hereditary: he's co-lead along with Collette, it's the story of how the two of them are destroyed by the haunting of the family. Stephan James, If Beale Street Could Talk Ben Foster, Leave No Trace Thomasin McKenzie, Leave No Trace Paul Giamatti, Private Life Olivia Cooke, Thoroughbreds Anya Taylor-Joy, Thoroughbreds Raffey Cassidy, Vox Lux Natalie Portman, Vox Lux: this one is tricky and I've been avoiding to label them. Both Cassidy and Portman play the main character, and all share pretty much the same screentime doing so. Both stages they play the character are very important, you can't really say one part is heavier than the other. The thing is: when Portman shows up, Cassidy starts playing a very supporting, passive role. And Cassidy's take on Celeste is considerably more passive. Does the dual nature of Cassidy's work, and its passive quality as well, make her more or less supporting? I really don't know, so I have them both as lead. Carey Mulligan, Wildlife Ed Oxenbould, Wildlife: like in Hereditary, it's the story of how the son and the mother cope with the times changing and the father "leaving" home.
SUPPORTING Josh Brolin, Avengers: Infinity War: he's one of the characters with the most perspective, but he still plays the foe to the larger group of Avengers. The antagonist might have half of the screentime, but it is still a supporting role because the part it plays in the narrative is to revolve around a bigger character, or group of. Tim Blake Nelson, The Ballad of Buster Scruggs: everyone in this movie is supporting imo. Timothee Chalamet, Beautiful Boy Adam Driver, BlacKkKlansman Robert Pattinson, Damsel David Zellner, Damsel Rachel McAdams, Disobedience Olivia Colman, The Favourite Rachel Weisz, The Favourite Amanda Seyfried, First Reformed Mahershala Ali, Green Book: the reasoning is very similar to Brolin's imo. Ali has just a little bit less screentime than Mortensen, but his character literally takes the backseat. Lip's arc is the central element of the story, the only reason this movie was made is to show the redemption of a racist white person when they start befriending a black person. We see big chunks of Lip's homelife, his family, his wife, his attempts to be a more sophisticated person (and this is linked to his growth as a racist person)... There's very little about Don's life that is explicit, and this is a movie that's not about subtleties. He's there merely to move forward someone else's arc. Kayli Carter, Private Life Emily Blunt, A Quiet Place John Krasinski, A Quiet Place Millicent Simmonds, A Quiet Place: everyone's supporting. Olivia Cooke, Ready Player One Sakura Ando, Shoplifters Lily Franky, Shoplifters Jyo Kairi, Shoplifters Mayu Matsuoka, Shoplifters: everyone's supporting. Blake Lively, A Simple Favor: she's the most interesting character, but yet it feels like she's there to be the object of interest for Kendrick. Joaquin Phoenix, The Sisters Brothers Mackenzie Davis, Tully Elizabeth Debicki, Widows Jonathan Pryce, The Wife Jake Gyllenhaal, Wildlife

I haven't read the book, but judging from the film, James is clearly lead to me. I guess one could argue that Kiki Layne is the sole lead, because the story is told from her perspective and a big part of the film is focused on her attempts to get James' character out of jail, but a huge part of the film is also dedicated to their history as a couple, and most of Layne's scenes are shared with James. I can't dissociate one from the other; to me, they're like a single piece of the same puzzle. Same applies to Jonathan Pryce's case. I have already written about The Favourite girls in other thread. Wolff is a tricky one, but I eventually put him in supporting because I got the idea that Collette's character is given (slightly) more emphasis and perspective. As far as Ali goes, I see him as supporting because we only get to meet him at about fifteen or twenty minutes into the film; indeed, I see this as Tony Lip's film, and the car trip is basically a single moment of his life where his race prejudices are going to be put to a test. Ali's character is just a motor for that change of behaviour, but the film is not so much about him as it is about Lip.

I didn't vote for Simmonds since I hadn't seen the movie yet when I voted, but I'll place a vote in lead. She's no more supporting than the adults are.

shocked that Ali's placement is so divisive. He's practically in the whole thing. The film is about these two men's friendship as equals, Mortensen just shows up first because somebody had to. Also I don't know how anyone could vote for Ali in supporting and also vote for Kulig in lead, given that she has much less screentime that her costar in Cold War and can honestly only be considered lead by virtue of the fact that the movie only has two characters. You know, kind of like Green Book.
