So BlacKkKlansman remains winless damn I didn't realize that. Everyone was pegging it as a frontrunner a month ago. Still I could see it pull out a win at the Academy. Other than ASIB which is also winless and generally not doing very well awards-wise, it's the most nominated film in the category. Beale Street, and Buster Scruggs seem like minority passion picks given that they don't have much of a presence elsewhere and Can You Ever Forgive Me? is missing BP and BD noms. I guess now it's certainly in the conversation but on paper this should still be BlacKkKlansman's to lose. Really can't wait to see what happens here.

As someone who has Can You Ever Forgive Me? as their incredibly comfortable Adapted winner, this is genuinely pleasing news.
I have Eight Grade on my remaining 2018 too watch list, so I will get to it.

This is great hahahaha Didn't like Eighth Grade at all, but it's an inspired choice. I'm gonna get so drunk before the Oscar this sunday, it's gonna be a wild night.
