They couldn't come up with a better title? Was Harriet The Spy taken?

Not just in terms of the performance but also her narrative is stronger. How so? I can see a narrative for a comeback nomination, but a win? Zellweger's got an Oscar -- there isn't a sense that they need to reward her a second time, especially after being gone from the game for so long . . . especially against someone like Erivo, who has a huge narrative that plays into her even apart from herself.

Colman won last without a narrative over overdue Glenn Close and A Star Is Born Gaga. So did McDormand the year before. Having a narrative is a conversation-starter, but it won't get you across the door if the audience is not there for the movie, or if the movie isn't that good, or if any other thing goes "wrong". If anything, the young starlet narrative is the strongest and likelier to get you an Oscar judging by the winners this decade.

And tbh if we're going just by trailers alone, Renee Zellweger is looking a lot stronger at this point. Judging by the trailers alone, yes, RZ looks stronger. But I still believe Erivo will be the winner.

ETA: Sorry it's the second trailer.
Too bad Harriet apparently isn't that good because I was hoping it's success would lead to more opportunities for WOC.

yeah doesn't look any better than it did in July, but there's no way I'm not watching it for the performances and especially the cinematography (that second shot in the new trailer... how could Toll not get nominated for this?) and production/costume design.
