Just finished Uncharted 4: A Thief's End which was amazing, and then moved on to Wolfenstein: The Old Blood (only since it came with The New Order that I finished recently). Beat it in less than two days. It was aight. Nothing special, though it had a similar feel in some aspects to Return to Castle Wolfenstein which is one of my favorite games (mainly because of atmosphere). So that was nice.
Now I'm finally diving into Call of Duty: WWII.

Dark Souls III It makes me wanna punch myself in the face sometimes, but goddamn it's so good. Like the other Soul games and Bloodborne (another fantastic game) from FromSoftware, it's a game that tells you: don't rush things, take your time to explore, improve yourself, don't be a jackass to NPC's and last but not least run for your fucking life (and souls) when you have to. Great stuff from Hidetaka Miyazaki (always trust dudes with this surname I guess)

I'm not really a gamer at all, but I'm visiting family at the moment and decided to dust off my old Gamecube from childhood and spent a couple days last week playing through Wolverine's Revenge and Enter the Matrix lol.
When Wolverine's Revenge first came out, I found it to be absurdly difficult and still do (particularly the boss battles). It doesn't help that the gameplay itself is rather uninspired... it mostly consists of alternating between killing armies of goons by mashing buttons and finding key cards to open doors/flipping switches. Still, there's something therapeutic about rage slashing through bad guys with your claws in outrageous ways.
While not a great game by any means, Enter the Matrix is definitely more fun... using the bullet time slomo feature to cartwheel while dodging bullets never gets old and I love one of the later levels where all you're doing is endlessly sprinting through Chinatown, darting down alleys, climbing up fire escapes, jumping across rooftops while trying to escape from Agents. A couple of the levels in the middle get kind of boring though, and I think it's kind of dumb that none of the cut scenes are featured in the films considering the game's story itself isn't that great.
The flawed nature of both of these games is definitely symptomatic of the rushed release alongside the films, and I feel like this isn't uncommon with game tie-ins. Having said that though, Spider-Man 2 is the greatest game ever made for Gamecube.

While I wait for Dragon Age: Origins to come in, I'm gonna start up a replay of my favorite game for pure adrenaline rushing fun EVER: Ace Combat 04. If I begin screaming "FOX TWO FOX TWO" in the middle of any conversations for the next little while, forgive me.
*sniff* I'm getting tears in my eyes just thinking about this masterpiece. Oh yeah, this is gonna be great.

Oh good lord, Dragon Age: Origins is awful. This is Final Fantasy XII all over again; pause and fight if you want to do anything other than press X once and wonder why your party is dying. I have no hope of lasting a week with this terrible combat system. Probably won't last three days before I give it up in disgust.

DAO is not my game. Just... I despise it. I cannot get behind this game. At all. The gameplay is lifted from FF12; aka the "program the computer to win for you" system. The characters so far are bland high fantasy tropes, the story is the white walker stuff from A Song of Ice and Fire. Worst, though, is the gameplay. The other stuff is boring; the gameplay is unforgivably shitty. If I'm going to have to micromanage my party (I have nothing against this!), then give me a a proper turn based system so I don't have to stop every two seconds and tell everyone what to do.
That's if you don't get ambushed by 20 skeletons surrounding you with no path of spreading your party out, of course. If that happens, you just roll your eyes, quit and move on to a game that isn't garbage.

Almost at the end of a second Knights of the Old Republic II playthrough. The HK Droid factory mission was pretty awesome (missed it in my first playthrough).

Need to buy a mouse. Planet Coaster can be a pain in the ass if you're using a touchpad and my touchpad issues have nothing to do with that.

Bioshock Infinite. I'm LOVING IT. I liked the horror elements of the first two games, but Infinite is such a great shooter that I don't mind the change.
My only complaints: 1. Elizabeth serves as a "get out of a jam free" card and lowers the difficulty way too much. 2. I can only carry two weapons. The problem here is that I like all of the weapons and would like to be able to use them all, but being limited to two means that I can't play around with the many, many ways to rack up kills. I understand why I'm limited to two weapons, but I'd rather just have more limited ammo and be able to carry all I wanted. Plot wise, Elizabeth could keep the spares in a tear or something. *shrug*

So I haven't done the DLC yet, but Bioshock Infinite was INCREDIBLE. Seriously one of the best games I've ever played. Story is a mess and I miss the horror atmosphere of the first two games, but the gameplay is out of this world. The strategy isn't so much in figuring out how to kill an enemy as in which way to do it. Pull out a sniper rifle with the Tunnel Vision and Winter Shield gear equipped and hop on a skyline, taking sniper kills from a roller coaster with near impunity? Ohhh yeah, you can do that. Want to push your enemies off a ledge with Undertow? Or pull them into Crow Traps and then whack them on the head? Maybe use a hail fire and see if you can actually hit an enemy with the damn thing? Charge through a few enemies, jump onto a skyline and proceed with your hit and run maneuvers?
So many ways to rack up kills, and all of them are fun. Difficulty suffers, but the experience of having so many ways to get through an area is fun.
But damn. This game would be brilliant in multiplayer. Absolutely brilliant. All of these methods of killing (yay for violent video games!), and it's wasted on computer opponents. This could be a new Perfect Dark for me. I always hold that and the Smash Bros. games as the ultimate in multiplayer, but this could have topped them. Well, no point worrying about what can't be fixed.

Finished Jade Empire today. Great game, if a bit short. I'm definitely looking forward to playing it again.

How essential is it that I play the original God of War trilogy before I play the new one? I’ve had the trilogy on PS3 for a while, but can I jump right in to this one, or will it make no sense if I skip them?

Bayonetta (replay) - Loving going through this game again. Only true flaw is the frustrating and totally unfair quicktime prompts. So glad the sequel disregarded them altogether.

I'm watchin my sister play Journey. She was stuck in one area for half an hour... an area that should have taken one minute. I'm trying to help her out, but she won't stay with a companion and tries to do the same shit for an hour running even though it never works. I didn't know that anyone could be bad at Journey, but DAMN.
