I'm just doing Dark Souls again. I really need a PS4 so I can try Bloodborne or DS3. Multiplayer is so dead in Lordran. There’s a bundle out for $250 that comes with TLOU, God of War, and Horizon: Zero Dawn bundled in. At this point, that’s practically a steal.

So I'm playing Dark Souls, but I've never seen the Siegmeyer questline through to the end (never saw him in Blighttown before). I'm following a guide and meet Sieglinde, free her from Seath's perverted bondage stuff and find out that she's Siegmeyer's daughter. Cool stuff, sure. So I get back to Firelink, and she tells me that she's found her father and that she's so grateful to me, yadda yadda yadda... and then she says "If he goes hollow, I'll just have to kill him again."Are you implying that you murdered your father, girl? You suddenly went from "just another average NPC" to "your ideas intrigue me and I wish to know more."

Since I'm on holiday and have a lot of free time, I started playing The Witcher after watching the Netflix series. Pretty good game so far.

I finally decided to try out Switch Online, and Splatoon 2 is really, REALLY fun.

I currently have 680 moons in Mario Odyssey.
Some are so incredibly easy to get, but some are so painstakingly frustrating. Hardest part is when it goes to 2D platforming (because I'm so ungodly terrible at those) and I'm so used to 3D that I have to get re-used to the 2D... and since I fuck that up so many times, I need to redo it over and over so when it comes back to 3D, I'm once again lost.
But, you know what, it's a fun challenge... even if today I probably said "fuck you" more than I have in at least a couple of months.

So Mario Party for the Switch is one of the biggest pieces of shit I've played in a long, long time. So happy I didn't buy this trash and rented it instead.

Two episodes into The Wolf Among Us. The A-to-B plot is pretty pedestrian, the characters are blah, but the setting is great. I love the "where did everything go wrong" vibe that besets the denizens of Fabletown. Seeing these characters grapple with their new lives in the forgotten classes of America and how they get by (Faith and Narissa's prostitution, Snow telling herself that she can make things better, Beauty and Beast working several jobs to make ends meet) is the real story here, and I hope that the story dives deeper into this concept.

I have 4 of the kingdom's maxed out on moons, nearly all the others are just a few shy of being maxed out (I'm not bothering with the races because I usually have to do it over and over again to win it) and yet I still haven't even reached 800 moons!
I just don't see where these next 200ish stars come from (again, there are about 20 race moons I know about but haven't gotten and that takes up my total plus that to 800).
GAAAAAA!
Also, I had to take on 4 bosses in a row with only 6 hits allowed, which was super tough... only to find out that you can always just go back and get a heal in between fights...

Just started Breath of the Wild... there's not a chance in hell I'm getting all 999 stars in Odyssey.

I'm about 3/4 of the way through Red Dead Redemption II. I am really digging it, even if the game keeps killing my favorite characters left and right.
I've maxed out my character's honor rating, but I can already tell that next playthrough, I'm gonna go full-bore evil. Like, Judge Holden-level. My current character is also underweight and pale; I'm aiming to make my next guy a big fat bald menace who kills any and everything in his path.

It’s 5 a.m., and I just finished my first ever playthrough of Inside (or, the twisted evil twin of Journey). Genuinely one of the most terrifying/weirdest experiences of my life.
(My main gripe, it’s way too challenging for a game meant to be played in one sitting. It asks you to do a lot stuff that’s not intuitive, and I needed a walkthrough to get me through most of the back half. Might like it even more on repeat playings when I actually know what I’m doing.)

Okay, I'm getting real sick and tired of my weapon breaking every 30 seconds in Breath of the Wild.
Forget Stamina and Hearts, I'd gladly take a "weapons now only break every minute or so" upgrade instead.

They obviously took a lot of Elder Scrolls for this game, why they decided to have a weapon degrade 100x faster in this game is beyond me. I'm still pretty early on in this game, but I'm not in absolute adoration of it like I was with Mario Odyssey... that game I could easily play like 4 hours straight, but with Zelda I'm finding myself having to stop after an hour or so.

Three episodes into Telltale's The Walking Dead. A bog-standard zombie story plagued by cliches and the worst gameplay Telltale has ever delivered. Doesn't help that episode three killed of the only two characters I actually liked at all, so now I have absolutely no reason to care about this crap.

Just finished replaying Batman: Arkham Knight for my second time through the series (including Origins) and I still gotta say... I think this is my favorite of the series. Arkham City is still incredible and I love the winter vibe to it, the villain side missions are probably the best, and of course the story is fantastic. And Asylum was as perfect of an introduction to the series as one could get (with wonderful little details added into every frame of the game). But Knight is just a beautiful (likely anyway) conclusion to the series. It somehow takes the already heightened events of City and elevates it to an even more intense level. Without trying to spoil too much, I'm just amazed at how great I thought the main villains in this were and though it seems a lot of the die-hard comic fans were disappointed - as someone who isn't (yet), I was very happy with every decision. As a plus, the world-building was absolutely lovely. I truly felt like I was in Gotham (though I do wish there was another Arkham game kind of like PS4's Spider-Man that felt lived-in and could glide around the city as it is. Only downside of Knight is probably too many Militia side missions, but the fact that I still haven't even touched upon the, like, 7 or 8 DLC campaigns just means it'll make up for it.
Which brings me to my question for any Arkham fans who have had the chance to play the DLC. I know that the Robin, Harley Quinn, Catwoman, Red Hood, and Nightwing campaigns are only two bucks each so I'll likely buy each of those, but as someone who is broke AF right now are the Batgirl and Season of Infamy villain DLCs worth the extra dough?
