The real question is who wins the Oscar now? Regina King. Weisz had the British advantage with BAFTA. But she and Stone will vote split at Oscar - which is probably what happened at SAG, GG, Critics Choice.
Adams needed to win BAFTA, but she's done.
Rylance had the British advantage and he still won the Oscar.

God, Malek did a great impression but there was no depth or nuance to his performance. I hate that he’s going to win Best Actor. Any of the other 4 nominees would be a better option.

Rylance had the British advantage and he still won the Oscar. Rylance was not a previous winner competing against another winner in the same film. He had also won 2 of the 3 Top Critics awards (NYFC, NSFC) and was runner-up with LAFC. I also can't see AMPAS giving a win to Weisz over Colman. All 3 are co-leads.

Best Picture is gonna be interesting. Roma is in the lead but Green Book is strong.

Hawke just missed a nod and he won all major critics. What does Colman in Lead have to do with Weisz lol? And Sam Rockwell won last year and he had another nominee being in the same film as him...

Weisz winning BAFTA isn't going to be enough. My point - Rylance had other advantages in his favor. Out of the 8,000 Oscar voters, only 500 are BAFTA voters.
And just because Colman won BAFTA, smart money is still on Glenn Close, who has gained too much momentum at this point.

Glenn Close won SAG. King wasn’t even nominated. The Favourite was clearly loved by the Academy. Beale Street clearly wasn’t.

Glenn Close won SAG. King wasn’t even nominated. Like Marcia Gay Harden? And critics were just saying last year that there was no way The Shape of Water could win without a SAG nod. And Roma doesn't have a SAG nod this year.

I was a bit less annoyed by the Best Supporting Actor winner when I saw how touched he was.
Usually quite stoic so to see that was kinda nice.
Rising Star though... -_- freakin robbery!
Oddest winner since Adam Deacon beat Hemsworth, Hiddleston and Redmayne.

Feel Weisz could win and even Adams could be a surprise win. This feels like the one race ripe for an upset. Malek, Close, and Ali are all pretty ahead of everyone else, imo.

None of the winners were very surprising apart from Black Panther for VFX (I don't hate the VFX as much as other people, but still, seriously?).
I'm absolutely rooting for Roma to win Best Picture.

Still no luck for Bale at the BAFTAS. Malek is getting that Oscar.
