This is just a warm-up for his inevitable BOND 26.

It’s funny that Nolan goes with Goransson in favor of Zims, as I’ve been calling that Goransson should be doing the live-action Lion King over Zims.
But I’m cool with this. I suspect Nolan’s gonna push him towards “that” sound, but I like differentiating a bit.

Still, if you’d have told me a year ago that he was doing a Spongebob movie, but not a Nolan joint that same year, I may have laughed in your face.

God Emperor Nolan will bring out the best in Johnson. Just you watch. Salient avatar. I'm way late on this so it's probably redundant at this point but it didn't occur to me until just now to say...
Salient post.

I wonder how this will affect promotional touring for The Lighthouse, especially if A24 decides to run it as a potential contender.

Really hoping Pattinson is playing the villain in this. Dunkirk completely redeemed Nolan for me, so fingers crossed this continues his rebound.

Apparently the movie has an approx $250m budget. I don't know the reliability of this source but somebody posted this on reddit. linkThat is huge and risky considering the movie has no big stars and Nolan is the only draw.

Remember nobody cared about Dark Knight before it was released? Nolan doesn't need big stars, he ain't David O Russell using great actors to make his film looks good. I know, it's Nolan and he doesn't need big stars. All i'm saying is spending $250m on an original property is risky. That said the earlier reports about Dunkirk said it costed around $150m but it ended up with a $100m budget. We don't know the $250m is real or not.

He’s shooting a mega blockbuster in SE7EN countries, so that figure sounds about right. Plus he’s Christopher Nolan....he can demand as much money as he wants from WB. He may as well be the CEO.

If the $250M includes its marketing budget, then I'd believe it... otherwise this does seem ridiculously high for a project that I assume will have minimal SFX.

I mean this has a nice look and I can already feel the atmosphere that might be behind this pictures, but I think you are a bit exaggerating.

Well this certainly contradicts the previous news I saw on this being Pattinson dropping out of this project ...

The Souvenir sequel was the one he’s dropping out of.
