John Bailey has no soul, let alone a heart. Wrongfully snubbing him for his glorious work on Mishima back in '85 turned him into a hardened man with a vindictive soul. Over three decades later and he has returned to extract his revenge. Just sayin', every super-villain has a backstory.

This president needs to go as soon as possible. Lots of asinine choices are being made this year but not having the previous acting winners present the awards is the one thing that truly bothers me. Not only because it is an old tradition but because I really like the image of the former winner passing the torch to the recent winner, as a 'welcome to the club' gesture. Having Oprah present the award simply doesn't carry the same weight and, unlike Stephen, I don't want Hanks to present either as he doesn't even bother to create some suspense before announcing the winner .

Hanks blazing through the traditional rigmarole of "here are your nominees", etc., etc. would give more time for speeches, and that's really what this is all about. Give the winners their time in the sun -- all of them.

Letting Queen perform is a BAD idea. I don't want to hear Adam Lambert.

This is disgusting, honestly. A lot of traditions deserve to die, but this certainly isn't one of them.

It's like the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences doesn't like motion pictures.

And Brie Larson, Charlize Theron, and Whoopi Goldberg are all among the first batch of presenters confirmed by the Academy. Yeah, I guess past Oscar-winners really aren't famous enough to present.

I hated Janney’s win, but that’s just despicable.

Guys. We need to just not watch the Oscars in protest. I officially second this motion.

Academy caved from the backlash. Announced all 4 acting winners from last year will be back as presenters.

I heard that they're not presenting the acting awards though, possibly the two screenplay's in pairs.

Honestly, between all the stupid changes, and the mostly underwhelming nominees, I'll probably just revert back to my usual Monday watch of a two hour highlight show. I stayed up almost all night last year to watch them live for the first time in a long time, but I doubt I'll be doing the same this year. As much as I would like to see the likely Roma Best Picture win happen live, it isn't that important to me. The below is a list, of events, which should they occur, would make me wish I'd watched live.
1) A Star is Born is announced as the Best Picture winner, but its just another mix up and Bohemian Rhapsody has actually won. 2) Olivia Colman wins Best Actress. 3) The Favourite wins Best Picture, making it the first time in 34 years my #1 film of a year has achieved this. 4) Christian Bale wins Best Actor. 5) Richard E. Grant wins Best Supporting Actor for his wonderful performance in an actual supporting role.

So both BR and Favourite win best picture? They don't all have to happen, just any of them. The first one, unlikely as it is, would just be too funny to miss.

I have done more for the Oscarts than any Acadamy president in history. This never happened to “Boo” Isaacs. Blair Witch Hunt!”

I mean, I'm glad that if they feel they HAVE to do this that it's such a low number, but still, Cinematography and Editing are pretty damn important.

What the hell? Why not the 3 shorts? At least keep cinematography and editing...
