Haven't seen Bohemian Rhapsody yet, but the rest are poor. This is possibly the worst ever line-up. nothing's worse than 1983 Dude, 1985 exists.

nothing's worse than 1983 Dude, 1985 exists. 85 does have Out of Africa and Prizzi's Honor, that's true, but at least it has one near-masterpiece in Kiss of the Spider Woman. 1983 is bland and forgettable across the board. The Big Chill is the best of that bunch and I wouldn't call that film memorable by any stretch outside of Hurt's performance. Tender Mercies is dry, Terms of Endearment is a cloying soap opera, The Right Stuff is a 3-hour buddy comedy with virtually no emotional stakes, and The Dresser is ponderous and stagey.

1. Roma 8.5-9 2. BlacKkKlansman 8 3. Green Book 7.5
I really have high expectations for the rest. I'll probably see Vice and The Favourite at some point (I guess in 2-3 years), not sure if I'll ever watch the three others, maybe also sometimes on the TV, just so I can have an opinion on this line-up.

I've now seen all nominees.
1. Roma - 10/10 2. The Favourite - 10/10 3. BlacKkKlansman - 9.5/10 4. Black Panther - 9.5/10 5. A Star Is Born - 9.5/10
6. Green Book - 7.5/10
7. Vice - 5/10
8. Bohemian Rhapsody - 3.5/10
The latter two ruin the lineup.
