Even the guild won't bite Black Panther. Interesting . . .

Great to see the undeserving Panther effects miss here.
And if RPO doesn't win that Outstanding Created Environment award then I'll riot!

Well considering Black Panther's not-Pellenor Fields battle was done better 15 years prior...

Bohemian Rhapsody nominated for its cheap ass Live Aid green screen lmaoo. That film has some really bad green screen moments in general.

Interesting indeed. This might make Infinity War the favorite again. Although interestingly, the last VFX winner to miss out entirely here was Ex Machina.

Goddamn Black Panther absolutely bombed with guilds and BAFTAs. Are we sure this bitch is getting nominated?

i don't know guys Black Panther missing doesn't surprise me and I don't think it'll affects it's BP chances. This is the Visual Effects guild, they know what they are seeing and the merits of the visual effects are the only thing they are voting on here. It may miss the Oscar VE nod because only that branch is voting for nominations, but I still think it's extremely safe in regards to the Picture nomination.

BAFTA only nominated it for Visual Effects. AACTA snubbed it altogether. t's guild run has been deflated by First Man and this is one branch you'd expect BP to be fans of. Industry folk are waking up to the fake ass narrative of this movie.

apart from a couple silly videogamey fight sequences, the visual effects for Infinity War are freakin gorgeous. It'll be a totally worthy winner.
