Wasn't sure where to put this news but this seems like a better place than The Irishman thread. This will be September 25th - 2 days before The Irishman premiere so he should have some good stuff to say on that and The Hunt TV show too - stuff that may not make it into the broadcast (which will air at a later TBD date of course). So if you're in NYC and can get in .......pretty cool. Inside The Actors Studio hosted by Ellen Burstyn with guest Al Pacino September 25th 7:00 Pace University Schimmel Centerwww.pace.edu/mypace/inside-actors-studio-al-pacino?mpc=csHere they are winning their BAFTA awards together at the Actors Studio (!) - kind of sweet......still friends, Triple Crown winners and co-Presidents of the Actors Studio now - how have they never worked together? What I always liked about this video, is that the award is given to them by Sean Connery!! How come they never worked together?

Or a title change maybe? There's some talk that other cast members refer to it as "The Hunters" too but maybe that's just temporary and what they call it for now - we'll find out when they release a trailer for it but personally I'm still pretty excited to see this show (way more than Axis Sally that's for sure ) ..........if you're a Pacino fan there's fun trivia to follow too: * First if he can steal/win an Emmy for this - he'll become the only BA Oscar winner and BA Emmy series winner ever (unless Michael Douglas beats him to it this month for The Kominsky Method). * An Emmy steal/win would expand his Triple Crown lead which he may not get many more chances for - he's already the most awarded US male actor (at least) in history with 5 wins - no living US male can compete with just having the Triple Crown at all - and the dead ones well none of them ever had that many wins. Of course this show could really flat out suck, so just forget that stuff above if that's the case ..........oh and there's the possible accent, his accent alone could be ......um.......well let's see that trailer!

If it's good, he might get a GG nod also. And maybe one more for the Irishman. And he may beat Jack in the total GG nominations. Yeah, I know. That's far ahead atm. What about his accent? Is there any reason he might have an accent?

Is there any reason he might have an accent? I think as was mentioned a little earlier in this thread, Simon Wiesenthal is the real life guy the Pacino character is modeled on (mostly) and he had a noticeable accent and heck Pacino has given characters accents even when they don't need one at all ........but his character is a concentration camp surviving/non-American Jew so, you'd think it's likely. Other actors who've played characters "like" Wiesenthal (Olivier) and Kingsley (who literally played Wiesenthal himself) did the accent so you'd think he might give it a shot too - he's done a few variations on different Jewish accents before of course (Phil Spector, Merchant of Venice, Angels in America, even People I Know slightly).

Well, he doesn't play exactly that guy, his character is just based on him. I think... Then again, apparently he doesn't even change his voice playing Hoffa

Esp. when he says "I know things they don't know I know". Anyway, I can't say how the real Hoffa actually sounded. We'll see and we'll listen!!!

Two more directors....... Nelson McCormick is directing at least one, Ep4, and Michael Uppendahl is directing the finale Ep10. McCormick did the lame remakes Prom Night and The Stepfather and a lot of generic TV, and Uppendahl a better pick did 3 eps of Fargo S2, so I like him a bit. So it's those two, Wayne Yip, Dennie Gordon, and Alfonso Gomez-Rejon. Those five might be the only directors and um, well, the producers should've checked out our suggestions, dammit!
also last week someone in the Locations Department said the show is coming to Prime "Very soon."

Nice ......2 Time Tony Winner although you'd think he'd find room for Ron Leibman so we could get a double Roy Cohn battle......... and of course with Leibman they're Actors Studio buddies (Othello)
I am still waiting for Richard Dreyfuss to come on board ........um, maybe in season 2 (fingers crossed) - though like I said before, I can't believe Pacino is cast as the lead in this show and not someone "like" Dreyfuss.....or, gulp, Hoffman ....

And his Jew accent sounds pretty convincing.

Really getting tired of old man dwarf Al Pacino tbh.........nah just kidding When he turns away from drawing the X on the bulletin board and walks towards the camera his face is compellingly sinister which is a very good sign indeed........excited to see more.

I am totally down with that trailer and Pacino grabbing that hand for the knife and Lena Olin ominously walking with her Nazi group and even Al's accent which I picked up every word of thankyouverymuch.......well except the very last word "Welcome to the whatnow" Al?

Looks great!!! Pretty big cast to follow and the trailer didn't feature a bunch of actors - I love that one mad shot of Dylan Baker. Also the crisp visuals - I feared they'd over color-grade or something but then again we didn't see any of the flashbacks yet - btw the actor playing young Pacino said he only spoke Polish for his part.
Assuming we get this in Jan/Feb? How does Prime roll their eps out again? all at once or weekly?
