This sounds highly interesting and definitely could make a good film. While I liked Carol I'm not that high on Todd Haynes in general though and this also doesn't really sound like the plot, where he is the first name that comes to my mind to fill the director's chair. The cast sounds promising as well and Haynes certainly has a hand for actors.

This is shaping up to be more and more interesting. I loved Hayne's last 3 projects, was a bit cautious about this at first but am now getting really excited. Would love for it to come out this year.

I don't really care about the plot, but I like Haynes enough to ignore it and stay hyped. Also, it's nice that Hathaway seems to want to walk away from having a vanilla filmography.

not really into legal dramas but we've been due a good one for years and Haynes might just be the one to deliver. Nice to see Ruffalo is still taking on the DuPonts. Hopefully this time he won't get shot.

Good trailer - on the downside it has that "then this happened" quality of Spotlight (overrated movie, but still good) but it also has something big on its mind like a real movie - mentions DuPont by name (big plus), Ruffalo in boring mode (better than his OTT mode) and a worthy villain it seems in Robbins.
Not sure there is room for surprises here - This isn't The Insider after all ........but a grown up movie ........I'm all for it. Has a bit of Michael Clayton's feel and that was a very good movie.......

hmmmmm...cautiously optimistic. Looks more exciting than most legal dramas, definitely more than all those 90s legal dramas. Could be a left-field contender or just totally panned.
Have to say Ruffalo's perf is bothering me a bit. Getting shades of Spotlight in there though pulled back a bit, thank god. If he can play it close enough to the chest it might be fine.

So essentially the same plot of Erin Brockovich and then trying to capture of the magic of The Insider. Julia Roberts is way more fun to watch than Hathaway. And I know Haynes doesn't have the brains of Michael Mann, so that's a fail.
So yeah fail all around.

Oh great, another “Mark Ruffalo in painfully self-righteous mode” performance.
In all seriousness, though, I hope it’s good. I like legal “us against the machine” thrillers like this in general, and Bill Camp looks like he might be a showy stealth contender with the right campaign, but Ruffalo really is the fly in the ointment here.

Okay I literally have been under a rock since I never heard about this project. Then I see the trailer. Yeah, It is A Civil Action all over again. Good one!

Generic Oscar bait.If I didn't know beforehand that Haynes was the director,I would never have guessed.

This looks like I'll like it a lot, maybe even love it. No accident it points at Spotlight and The Post in it's credits. From it's look and tone it also feels much like The Insider or A Civil Action (which is a far less great movie than Spotlight or The Insider, but still a good one).

I do like these kind of movies too, and I use to really like Mark Ruffalo. I don't know what happened, lol. He seems perfectly nice in real life interested in the same causes that I am, but something about his acting although he looks fine here not especially great, imo, but not noticeably over the top either. I agree about Bill Camp too. Someone mentioned that we should look out for him, and I think he really stood out in the trailer even though he wasn't in it very long.

Can we talk about the absolutely dreadful use of John Denver's magnum opus here? Yikes.
Seems like an interesting story... but something about the way it's presented in the trailer looks off to me (and not just Ruffalo's performance). Also was surprised to see Bill Pullman's name at the end... was he even in the trailer or am I going blind?
